Christmas Eve 2008 at Nana's
Ho Ho Ho! Merry Christmas Eve. Christmas Eve has always been hosted by my Nana. She always serves Mexican food. Nana and Mom outdid themselves. The food and hostessing was top notch. We all had such a fun time. Here are some crazy pics of the clan. Poor Kyle....he seems to make it through year after year though! :)
Kyle got his first stocking!

Christmas at Gaga and Jeff's
My Uncles, Gary and Jeff have a tradition the last few years to have the family over for dinner and gifts the night before Christmas Eve. Jeff made a shrimp gumbo that was so good! We had a great time! Most of the pics are of Wesley...does that mean Kyle and I have baby fever?? ;)
Aunt Dede with Jeff and Gaga. They made her a cork wreath .
Mom with her cork wreath.
I couldn't resist posting this pic! Nana got bras for Christmas! Don't worry...she giggled as I took this picture! I sold bras for 7 years..I used to even fit her with a measuring tape.

Our Home
It is finally starting to feel like Christmas...the weather temperature has finally dropped! Here are a few pics of our first Married Christmas together!
Our front door and Frosty!
Sad, the only lights that work are up top. We blew the fuse..the columns and all bushes would light up too! Now..if we can just get Beau over to fix it.
Our Griswold Tree! It is so thick you can barely see the ornaments on it! Did I mention that Kyle has about 10 zipties holding the tree topper onto the tree?!

Oh, did I mention that Mer made us watch her c-section video? I have now seen Mer's insides and a little too much than needed...thanks Mer! ;)

6th Annual Girl's Christmas Party
This crazy group of girls are my friends. Every year they have a big get together Christmas Party. Last year, the theme was to wear wigs, and this year the theme was 80's Prom. We meet up at Lynn's house for appetizers and a gift exchange. We then load up on a limo bus that drives us around all night! It is always so much fun! Here are a few pics!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Baby It's Cold Outside!
Baby, It is SOOOOO cold outside! We got our first snow this year! HA! I just wanted to sound like Alli! ;) We had some snow flurries this evening. A couple even stuck to my jacket! The smallest things amuse me. Most importantly...why I am typing this, we have outside dogs in the cold. I guess growing up with so many animals, I have a big heart. Yes, I am softie. I resuced the dogs from the rain, sleet and 30 degree temps this morning to have them hibernate in the garage while at work all day. All day long I tortured myself about my precious babies cold in the garage. I left work and headed to Petsmart to buy another kennel. Let me tell you that Cooter's kennel was originally bought for Maddie (she ate the turkey and blinds...long story. she only lasted in the kennel 2 days...and it was then put under the bed to store.) Hence, why poor Coot is stuffed in the smaller kennel. Dixie...who we think is pregnant...gets the bigger kennel. So...as I am typing this...Kyle is still at work...he has no idea what will greet him when he enters the front door. My precious dogs, all 3 of them are all in the heated house with their mama. I can hear them rustling in the distance not so sure of where they are! They are about to spend the next few nights with me in the house since the temperature is going to be in the 30's the next few days. And...Kyle is leaving tomorrow on a hunting trip. They will be my alarm system as well if someone comes near the house.
Oh my gosh mom, this kennel is so tight!!!
You mean we get to sleep in the heat tonight???

Tacky Sweater Christmas Party
A bunch of the girls started a monthly dinner group. Each girl hosts a month, picks the menu, can add a theme, etc. I was December. My theme was "tacky" Christmas sweaters! It was so fun! As my friends arrived, there were sweater vests that smelled like moth balls, some from goodwill, some from Nana's closet with glitter puffy paint(sorry NANA...love you!), some from Wal-Mart, and some from Sears (originally $48.00. ) I apologize for those reading this that still wear them. I will admit that all of these were pretty bad and dated back to the 90's. Best dressed went to Lori for her Christmas dress that was floor length...worn with her tennis shoes. When Kyle got home...he said she looked like his old teachers! HA! We had such a fun time and even did a white elephant style ornament exchange. Looking forward to January's dinner!
Merry Christmas!
Sad, washing dishes in my sweet sweater vest!
