Michelle and I at the HOLLYWOOD sign.Spur of the moment (and after 2 glasses of wine), Michelle~my sister in law and I had the great idea to crash Cheryl and Natalie's home: West Hollywood, California! We made the tipsy call and text and they said, BOOK IT! So we did. We had such a fabulous time! When we arrived on Thursday, Cher surprised us by cancelling our "boring" room at the Ramada and booking us literally across the street from them at the Sunset Marquis. Okay, this is where Billy Bob Thorton stayed when we was splitting from Angelina Jolie. And, Angelina and Brad stayed in the villas for a while during their renovations on their home. We are so celebrity! There was wine waiting in our room and 400 thread count sheets! Can we just move in here? We headed to eat at the new hip place Ketchup. We closed it down, literally. After the 3 bottles of wine, gourmet fries with 5 types of ketchup, and truffled mac n cheese with lobster...we left only after the bright lights came on and we were the last table. We headed to their condo to show it to Michelle. We continued to stay up until 2 am their time, 4 am TX time.
Friday, Nat took off work and we ate breakfast at hip eatery Jinky's. Only to find out Justin Bateman was eating there this morning! SAD! We then proceeded to H&M to do some shopping. We also hit Robertson and looked in all those shops. We made a stop at Trader Joe's and picked up more wine, cheese, crackers, humus, sandwiches, cookies....for our picnic before the Hollywood Bowl concert~Chris Isaak. We had a great picnic (until Cher spilled Pinot Grigio all over her lap area!) We loved the orchestra playing and Chris Isaak. Cher treated us to the tickets and we were thrilled. We even got to meet Robin who played the strings in Kyle and I's wedding song, "Love Divine". He was fab! That night back at the Sunset Marquis, while walking back in...Michelle thinks she spots Luke Perry. We try to not be noticeable, so we go to our room and call Cher to meet us back down at the bar in our hotel for a glass of wine to see if the celebrities were out. No, it wasn't Luke Perry, but we did see Foreigner and Little Bow Wow. :0
Saturday, Cher takes us to eat at the famous eatery, Hugo's! So good! From there, we headed to show Michelle the Hollywood sign in the Hills. Afterwards, we went to Grauman's Chinese Theater, saw the handprints and the walk of stars. I was then treated to an In and Out Burger! The next thing on our agenda, was to look at celebrity homes in Beverly Hills. With our map in hand, we proceeded to see Courtney Cox & David Arquette's, Simon Cowell, Drew Barrymore, Tom Cruise, David Beckham, Christina Aguillara, Jennifer Aniston, and Debra Messing's homes! Wait, we pull in front up Debra Messing's and then back up because we see her dog laying by the side door to the house. Michelle screams, Oh my gosh! Here pulls up Debra in her Maserati right in front of us! :) That was so cool to see her pull up in her shades and unload her groceries....and watch her dog greet her. After our tour guide was worn out (Cher), we headed back to our places to freshen up for a big night of Sushi! We got to Fat Fish early for HH prices for Natty! :) We tore up sushi and beer in our back loungy booth with pillows. It was so good! After that, we went to the Abbey a famous outside bar. We couldn't end the night without getting me my PINKBERRY yogurt. We headed back to our hotel to cap off the night with a last beer in our famous bar. (Justin Timberlake was there a few weeks ago). We had another chance to act silly and spend quality time together.
Sunday, we headed home! We were so sad to go, but will see them again soon!
